Can I include video when I post my items on marketplaces?

Yes, many marketplaces now allow a video to be included with your online listings. Most have limitations/and or requirements, a summary of which is included below. Being familiar with these can save time and trouble for yourself and the Ronati team and avoid the blocking of videos. 

Note that when a marketplace only allows one video, the eCM team will upload only one video to your listing. If you have multiple videos in your item record, the video in the first position will be the one we upload. Additionally, while some marketplaces allow longer videos, best practice is to keep videos between 5-15 seconds to keep viewer attention and avoid time limitations on marketplaces.

  1. 1st Dibs: videos must feature a single product with nothing and no-one else in the frame, including text; filming must be steady with product in clear focus and natural lighting (no artistic lighting or editing.) 
  2. eBay: listings with variations do not support videos. 
  3. SquareSpace: the listed max of thirty minutes is for all items listed. More storage space is available with a digital products plan subscription.
